Formation: Miocene,Carpathian. Geomorphological features: The Central-Miocene Garabian Slir Formation is characterized by the development of northern Hungary. The Garabrian Slir consists of a series of gray, cyclically alternating sand, glittering sand, aleurite, clay and clay marl, formed in the offshore environment of the seas offshore. It is an extremely rich foraminifera fauna and nannoplankton of the Amussium, Tellina, Brissopsis mahrofauna. Sludge movements and traces of life are typical. Because there is no surface excavation in the settlement that adequately represents the formation, the Garab no. 1 drilling was selected as its strata type. |
